Globalization101.org has a new news analysis on the Global Spread of Invasive Species. This analysis examines the problem of invasive species and highlights the efforts to combat the spread of the air potato in Florida. This plant is particularly nasty because it is so heavy that is uses local plants to support its weight, thereby blocking access to sunlight, inhibiting the growth of native species.
